Have you never noticed my tendency to be sat alone in an empty convention hall at 8am?
no, because I have an irrational fear that no one will show up to my panels. So if *I* show up early, then I have to sit there and count the time till when ppl are SUPPOSED to come, and then i convince myself no one is going to show up, possibly not even the other panelists, and thenm I will be a failure at conventioning and everyone will know that *I* was the panel no one showed up to… so, y’know, I just rush in right at the time it is supposed to start cos it saves me the mental anguish of picturing an empty ballroom for untold minutes.
